Grille Guard with or without Bug Deflector?
Can anyone offer some practical insight regarding the 2017+ body style and whether there is a need for a bug deflector if you have a grille guard installed on your truck? I have utilized bug deflectors for the last 30 years on my trucks and have been very happy with the results. But never having installed a grille guard before, I was wondering if a bug deflector was necessary with a high-profile grille guard, or whether the guard redirected/disrupted air flow enough on its own? My 2019 F350 should arrive by the end of the month and one of the first upgrades will be to add either a Thunder Struck or Ranch Hand grille guard & bumper combo.
