My current 2013 F-150 doesn't charge my RV's battery while connected, but my 2011 did and I had a different RV then. I don't know if it's a wiring issue on the new RV or a difference in the truck. I have seen some threads about a fuse on the truck that might be missing for this purpose but I didn't do anything with the fuse panel on the 2011 I had before. I can't imagine my RV would be wired in such a way that the battery would not charge while connected to the truck. Any ideas?
Does the truck have the factory trailer brake controller? There is a relay to add to the charging circuit. It originally came in a bag in the glovebox when new.

It did come with the factory trailer brake controller. Now that you mention the relay in a bag, I vaguely remember seeing that at some point years ago. If I can find it, am I supposed to insert this relay somewhere to engage this feature?
Relay & fuse. Same size as the rear window defroster, I robbed them from my rear window defroster on a camping trip so I could get it working. Never got it fixed as I don't ever use the rear defrost, especially after all the horror stories.
Its pretty exciting when you are half asleep going to work and all of a sudden your 500 slider blows out. It's a well documented problem. My 2011 blew out twice and my 2012 and 2013 I unplugged the defroster at the dealership. The plug is behind the rear passenger seat.
