No, the mountings are different. You could, however, get a 95-96 5.8l intake (upper and lower) and use many of the that trucks parts to create a monster. OR, just build the engine with good heads, cam, dual plane intake and 600-750 CFM carb. The problem would then be getting a tranny combo since all of the trans are electronic.
Best bet: get a donor 95-96 5.8L 2WD truck with the matching E4OD or 4R100W tranny and swap both to the mustang. You would have to make custom drive shafts and crossmembers to accomodate the different trans.
Why doesn't he just find a 93-up lincoln with the 4.6L and swap that in, it would just about be a bolt in. The mustang 4.6L cobra intake would bolt right up to that engine.
he has a t-5 tranny that he will be using and a 393 stroker kit and afr heads the problem lies with the truck intake is facing the wrong direction ....
You will need the correct bell housing for the T-5, are you sure its a T-5? I thought that there was another 5-spd tranny used on V6 mustangs. 351s were rare with a manual trans, finding a flywheel may prove difficult. I think you may beable to use a pre-80's 302 flywheel (28oz balancer, 81 and up are 50oz.).You'll need a new clutch, clutch master cylinder, slave and linkage most likely. That should give you something to chew on for a while.
You can buy the 28oz flwheel or flexplate, no problem there. The T5 aint gonna last though, and there is no way you are fitting an E4OD in a Mustang.
He is using the truck intake? That lower is a small oval port design. It is going to be a bottleneck on that setup. As for an upper. I have heard a stock mustang 302 upper will fit, never tried it though.
