On my 2016 f150 yesterday I plugged in my laptop into both the front and back seat plug ins. The computer did not show that it was charging. The front seat plug did not have the little orange light next to the plug lit up, the back seat plug did. The AC adapter for the computer is relatively low power at 1.5 amps input, nowhere near the 400W limit of the plug. Anybody else run into this?

You say that the rear plug had the orange light? Was there AC there, or is the AC non-functional both places (regardless of the light)?
I'd look at the inverter (under the back seat in my F-150, and see if it is getting power, or putting out power. If it's not getting power, probably a fuse. If it is getting power and not putting it out, then you probably have a bad inverter.
