I know some guys are opting for a clevis. Buddy of mine is offering these nice hooks for the trailer chains. Used em this past week and really liked em. Nice and clean look. Spring loaded clip to swing the latch. Plenty of room to get the hook around big slots. He checks in and out of here from time to time. rednck21 is his user name. Hit him up for info on em.
I just ordered the Amazon set! My hooks were margin at best; I like how these appear to fit better. I'll posted up some pics of the swap to help out others.
I've got either 5/8 or 3/4 clevises, don't remember which at the moment. But when combined with the hooks that UGA33 showed earlier, it's been a good setup for me for over a year now on a trailer that's hooked and unhooked several times each week.
