4.0 SOHC Questions

So recently my timing guides broke on my 4.0 . I went through the process of replacing the front and rear timing set with a new Cloyes and I've just got it all together. Right now I've ran it in my garage for a few minutes and it idles pretty decent and the timing chain sound is gone. I've checked the oil pressure and I'm getting about 58 PSI at idle, however, just under visual inspection under the oil fill cap I don't see any oil on the timing chain when it's running. Should I be worried? I also cleaned up the oil pickup screen and all of the chunks of timing guides in the block and pan.

This is my first time doing something this big on an engine and so I'm worried that I did something wrong. Is there any way I can check that the cams and chains are getting oil?

Thanks for any help. - Ryan

Wish I could help. I've got an 2003 explorer with the 4.0 and it has been making timing chain noise as well. I wonder though, if the guides broke how you didn't damage the valve train?
Interference motor, right? Did you pull the front cover to inspect and just catch it in time? What year 4.0 is this? Just curious.
Thx
