I bought my Ex around 3 years ago now, landed on an '02 7.3 Limited, with a lift kit, aftermarket bumpers and Toyo 37"s already installed (not exactly in big supply over here). It's actually the one I've seen in the entire country with this much aftermarket stuff. Seen one or two others with lift kits. In Sweden all Ex's are registered as commercial trucks so tax and insurance is dirt cheap, partly making up for our stupidly high gas and diesel prices.
It has 187k miles or so right now and I haven't really done any larger work on it, just changing the wear and tear stuff like u-joints, brakes, shocks. I've also put on another light bar, changed the exhaust to 4" from the turbo and installed a rear view camera (quite necessary!). And I'm kinda learning everything as I go along, this forum has helped out plenty of times when I find some weird noise or other issue I just know nothing about.
My latest "issue" is wanting to change out the rear lift blocks to metal ones from PMF. That will probably turn into another thread though, because I can't really makes sense of the supposed lift kit and how the truck actually looks underneath

As you can see in the last pic it kinda stands out against normal cars here.

Thats a very nice looking EX and yes, it does really stand out from the local cars.
Post up a few pictures of the suspension, maybe we can help to sort out the current lift that you have.
But 95 octane was $1.79 and diesel was $1.71 when I passed the unmanned (usually cheaper) station a couple of minutes ago. Gone down a few cents the last couple of days. 98 octane is around $1.90.

I'll put some explanations with the pics and my question is if this is like a total crap job. I've never towed anything or had anything really heavy in the back. Never really gone offroading either, so while I've owned it hasn't had any stresses on the suspension more than daily driving and the occasional dirt track or simple hill.
So this is the lift manual I found in the truck after I bought it. The previous owner had no information about when it was lifted or where (back in the states or here in Sweden)
This is the thing that got me confused, about the blocks and what springs are necessary. I measured the blocks to a total of 5,5" which would mean I need an overload spring and while I'm not totally sure what that is I doubt I have it.
From the back
Front mount rear spring passenger side and the blocks, as I said 5,5"
The blocks
Rear mount rear spring passenger side
Rear mount rear spring passenger side
Front spring passenger side
Rear mount front spring
Front mount front spring
If you are happy with the current ride height and load handling the springs can stay as they are, i'm not a big fan of stacked blocks and I think replacing all of the stacked short blocks with a new set of properly sized PMF blocks would be a good idea, PMF makes nice stuff.
So far so good, it rides fine, atleast after I put in new U-joint on rear driveshaft. And since it’s registered as an commercial truck I can’t legally drive above 55 mph. And at those speeds everything feels good.
But yeah, not really a fan of the whole stacking thing, looks sketchy. Hence the plan to get new ones
