2008 5.4 Pan removal
Has anybody removed the oil pan on a 2WD 2008 SD 5.4 with the motor and tranny still attached to each other, just lifted a few inches? AllData says you can on prior years, but it says I have to pull the flexplate to do it on 2008-2010 year models. Has anybody changed out the pan on a 2008+ 5.4 with the engine and tranny still attached to each other, just lifted from the engine and transmission supports? It sure would be nice to do be able to do it without having to pull the tranny.
