Thinking of doing a quick rustoleum paint job in my truck to seal up the rust until I can do the bodywork as it is a rolling restoration. I would do rustoleum rusty metal primer on the whole thing and rustoleum red and white acrylic two tone. I would probably just brush it on. Then I can work on one spot at a time and keep it nice looking and sealed until I do a full paint job when the bodywork is done. Good idea or bad idea?
I dont think there's an easy way.
Anything you put on to protect you will need to remove or pay to remove eventually. If you do nothing you risk things getting worse. I would say if you plan to do the work soon then wait but if your looking at 5 to 10 years it might be worth it to protect it.
I have always had luck with doing what I could or needed to do in order to mitigate any farther damage. Even at the cost of time, effort or money later for a proper repair. In the long run it was a savings in some form.
Good Sunday morning Utah, Nick and all who stop in.
Hope everyone had a blessed weekend and rested up for another addition "What does this work week have in store!"
WV has had a good weekend with plenty of sun and hot days and only a few small storms that did not dampen activities.

sounds nice. We are in desperate need of a storm to push all of the pollution out of salt lake. Can barely even see the mountains right now.
I hear it is pretty bad right now. A friend was out their this past week and told the same story. If I could I would push plenty of the wet stuff we have been having your way.
As for Optima's, A guy I worked with had a 65 for Galaxie convertible that some one had tried to do a one wire alternator conversion on. It would not keep the battery charged. So he drove about 70 miles one way to work in the day and charge the Optima at work. Drive home at night with headlights and the back the next day on one charge.
I was impressed with that. anyway one day I got out ad started tracing the wires and the PO had the voltage regulator hooked up wrong.
