That sounds like a better vehicle than my barber's, her's has been run in a few Illinois Winters. It has surface rust on the frame.
You probably have more insulation to dampen the sound or you can't hear it over your snoring...
I've got 12 inches in the attic and have been thinking of putting another layer to see if it helps a little more on the heating and cooling, maybe do it over the winter if I can find the cash to do it..
