Force regen Request Enabled
I have been changing things with Forscan in my 2016SD. I am about to add the DPF % Screen and saw Force regen Request. If this is enabled can I force a regeneration? Any info would be helpful.

No, you can not force a regen. Some of the 2011-2012's would give you an option to do a stationary regen when the percent full reached like 85%. A few, very few 2013-2016 can. I have only seen one person with a 2015 say they can.
If you have the OBDII adaper and a laptop (unsure about smartphone), you can perform a stationary regen.

Regen is when the truck cleans the DPF (diesel particulate filter). The DPF burns the residual fuel before it exits the exhaust pipe to reduce NOx emissions or other emissions. As the DPT burns this fuel, it builds up ash. To remove the accumulated ash, it need to clean itself or "regeneration", i.e., regen. To regen, the PCM dumps extra fuel into the engine that causes the exhaust temperature to rise to like 1100*F to clean the DPF. Once a computed level of cleanliness is achieved, the PCM stops the regen process until the next cycle.
