55 f800 Engine Code

I bought a 1955 f800 without it’s engine or trans. I’m trying to figure out what the original engine was, but I’m having a hard time finding the codes. The engine code is K. Is that the code for a 317? Any help is greatly appreciated.

4th digit of the VIN is the engine code. K = 317 Lincoln derived Y block.

Are you looking for a replacement? Probably better off looking for a 332 used into the early 1960s should think
there are more around than a 317.. sam
