ABS light
2000 F350 powerstroke
The ABS light is iluminated most of the time. The problem started out randomly. Now it appears that within 30 seconds after pulling out the ABS light comes on everytime. A couple of times this weekend the light did not illuminate. When this happened, The brakes acted light I was slamming my brakes on ice !!! Scared the hell out of me.
It appears that there is a problem with the ABS system or sensors. When the light comes on it gets caught by the computer, when it doesn't come on, the error wasn't detected.
Also a few times the Overdrive light was blinking along with the ABS light being illuminated. When this happens, the speedometer didn't work. The Overdrive light stops blinking and the speedo works when I put it in park and then back to drive (of course after pulling over).
Hate to go to the stealership if its a sensor problem. The one's in my area not trustable.
Anyone seen this or have ideas ?

ABS light
I had the same problems has you gvmann. I just replaced sensor in the rear dif. the sensor cost about $21. After I installed sensor, the ABS light went off and the overdrive quiet blinking.

I put an ohm meter to the sensor last night it read
infinite(open). The sensors on the front had some measured resistance. I'll get the part today. Is this fairly easy to replace. Is it held in place by a clip or nut ?
