I just thought I would share my most recent experience with an elusive electrical gremlin.
I had the classic "blinker not working" issue. The parking lights worked, the hazards worked, I checked all the usual suspects. Grounds, wires, bulbs, flashers, sockets, turn signal switch, etc., I was stumped!
Even though both high/low filaments in the "bad" bulb looked good to the eye, out of frustration, I decided to compare it to the known good bulb using a VM. Sure enough the suspected bad bulb had an open circuit, not visible to the naked eye.
I replaced the bulb and problem solved! I guess my only point is to just never overlook the obvious, it's often times the root of the problem. Happy motoring chaps!
Flappy 188,
Got to give you credit this morning after reading your above post # 2, I had a good laugh to myself. Although I don't envy your working A/C with the key off. I suppose you always got to find something good in any dilemma to help prevent from becoming a miserable individual.
