I have that same style gasket I installed on my Bricknose's 302 a few years ago. So easy to install!

What is this HPOP res spacer? Like to hold extra oil?

I might hit you up when it comes down to it! Hopefully all the hard parts (crank, pistons, etc) can be reused and all I'll need are rings and reseal.... we'll see!

Hitman, it will fit ant 7.3. it's not really needed unless you work the crap out of it with a bigger hpop and injectors. It helped me at the top of a long hill pulling my trailer. I would have a severe bucking running out of hpo, it drastically reduced the bucking. Of course I was pulling in my all out tune too.

Thanks for the info on the gasket 7.3. I plan on putting a thin film on the whole rail anyway just to be sure.

Jarrett, hit me up if you need anything. I've got 8 bare blocks, cranks, rods, etc. You name it.👍

Swamps parts are here😁. I already had comp springs and a melling lpop, but the kit included them so instead of changing the order I will just have new again. The damper, main studs and lifters (4 of them are in small white box) are extra things I ordered. I already took the pistons, rod bolts and valves to my machinist yesterday. The long box is a new oil cooler. I also got a gasket kit, bearings, oil rail plugs, gp's, dipstick parts for the pan and valve keepers.

I should have my heads back this weekend. If I get them I'm taking them in to get to the new valves in on Monday and picking up the block and parts so I can start mocking up the motor and check clearances when I get the heads back.

Having thoughts on a new turbo again too. 🙄

Damn Darin, you’re building a little monster.
I just skimmed through everything but are you use stock rods or are you doing something like Carrillo or manley?

Hey Mike. I actually thought about some Manley rods, but I really shouldn't be high enough in hp to need them. As far into this thing as I am I should really think about it more though. I'm getting mine resized with new bushings and arp bolts, but I'm sure I could sell them if I wanted.

I went with the carillo pro h rods but $3k is a hard pill to swallow. Iirc the manley were $2500.00
when I built this engine I had the thought of being able to turn 5k rpm and not have to worry as much.
My truck has been pushed in the back corner of the shop for a couple years now. I just need to resize one of the the turbos so it spool correctly. It made mid 800hp but it’s not steer friendly. It makes 0psi of boost till I’m over 2300rpm

It is good to see ya Mike! I wasn't around for quite a while either until Glenn had his motor problem, next thing you know I'm in the same boat.

Of course that price tag is why I didn't just buy the rods right away. And I'm not going to be near your hp levels! That's impressive! I will think about it a little more but more than likely will stay with stock. I have to stop the bleeding somewhere, and from what I've read these should handle my setup. Although I have no idea what I will have for hp with the cam, head work and headers. Still be just stage ones though.

I think with good tuning you could be in the mid 400-450 range

Good Mike except for being in the 'hole in the piston' gang, lol. I've heard good and I've heard bad about Jasper engines and with 5K on it I have to say its running good. Its time you get that monster out and stretch its legs. I under stand family responsibilities though!

Glenn I wish I could. I took over my dads LTL Freight business two years ago
and I just open a 2nd location in NJ. Between that and normal family dealings I just don’t have the time.
When I do get time me and my little boy work on his truck. Hard to believe he’ll be
driving in four years.
