E40d issues.

Ok I’ve been scrolling and reading every e4od post I can find and none seem to hit on my issue as of yet. I have a 93 F250 7.3 idi na with e4od 4x4 4:10 w/LS. First thing is it shifts hard into all gears unless loaded up. Was told it was rebuilt with a shift kit at approx 130k, now it has 182k. When in gear the rpm’s fluctuate 50 or so, but not in park. When it shifts into second it seems to slip just a bit before locking in but no RPM fluctuation. And not all the time. 2-3 slips for a second under “normal” driving conditions, same no fluctuation in rpm. 3-4 is fine. Now I can make it all just shift hard and no slip if I put it to the metal and hold it through the gears. I’m a manual guy and this is giving me a headache lol. Should have found a zf5 but the truck is cherry.
