Advice in locating truck

Check the internet for dealers in your desired area and then search their inventories. I bought 2 that way. I didn't have a trade in on either so it was a quick and clean transaction. Be sure to have all the details ironed out and in writing before you travel to pick it up though. Happy hunting.

I found my left over 2017 by searching cars.com, Autotrader, and Car Gurus. You can search by distance, new/used, and options. I ended up ~550 miles away to get mine.

The dealers have access to inventory that has left the factory, all these sites only access what’s on the lot. Do what I did, work with two or 3dealers, give them a listing of what you want and all options, tell them to write up a deal. They can lock down a vehicle pending deal for you that is in bound to their lot or any other lot according to your specs. That’s what I did. Make them compete.

We would bring in dealer trades all the time, even had a crew of guys , there job was to drive and get dealer trades... If you love your dealer and want to buy from them, they can put all the specs u want and search anywhere and make the trade. tiny dealers may not have a wanted vehicle to trade back, some dealers will trade without getting a car back, as they get to holdback for doing very little work.
we wanted the Ford monthly bonus money and were trying to go from 200units per month to 300.... might be fun to do all the searching yourself, but way faster to let the dealer do it

Thanks everyone for the help. Especially changing the number up in the address bar. Going to look at a 250 today but also found a 350 with ultimate xlt package for roughly same price. Now the 350 is in Cali but I am taking a trip passing through there in a week and a half.
The 250 is the color I like but the 350 has everything I want except remote start aaaand it’s bkack which I don’t really care for.
The 250 will do everything I need it to but the 350 would do it as well and more lol

Did you just pay cash then? And do you know if there was a price difference using the broker, as in did you pay a little more for him to do all the dirty work ?

For that purchase I did pay cash, but it could have been a loan too. I think he could even have used the manufacturer financing. The cost was invoice + $300 I think. I knew the guy so I don't think it was a bad deal. I didn't use him on my 2017 F-350 because I ordered it and I'm reasonably certain that the auto broker couldn't have arranged a better deal.

2. Use auto trader - once you locate a potential truck - enter the zip code for that dealer with said truck
