E350 doghouse

I have a bad heart leak on the driver's side of the doghouse. The gasket is not making a tight seal. I noticed a slit in the gasket. Does the sheetmetal of the engine compartment fit in this opening?
please help the heat overwhelms my AC

Not quite sure what you are referring to. My E350 dog house gasket had a groove that the doghouse housing edge fit in. Some are worn and won't stay put. You may have to glue it in place.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I had some ignition coils replaced and it appears that the mechanic didn't replace the doghouse properly. I didn't notice it until the weather warmed up it my feet got extremely warm!
