Thank you for your service. It is great when companies offer a little something for those who served. My dad always looked for the military discount :-).
Forgot to thank you for your service. I have much respect for our military vets. Anyone here run 14's with standard (factory) width tires at all?
I received my new mud-flaps today, they are surely over-packaged for shipment.
I hope to install them soon - but with other pressing concerns (my DH broke a shoulder-bone yesterday) I must delay that (and several other projects); so much for our up-coming 40th anniversary.
Dave, Steve's truck - the red/maroon '17 / '18 above looks like it has the 14's on it. I had longer mud flaps on my '04, I kept ripping the rears off. I always back in and kept hitting curbs & those cement things they put at the end of parking spaces. I seem to remember ripping the fronts once or twice when backing over a curb.
I spent way too much time installing these today; they are 20" wide, thick and stiff - plus I didn't receive all the hardware (necessitating two shopping trips). I'll tackle the fronts another day.
Placed my order yesterday - excellent customer service - they contacted me 3 times - just went with the "stock" no drill replacements - 12" wide regular length. Did add the "brushed" stainless and liked the 3 rivet look so went with that as well. They already shipped and it looks like I'll be getting them next week sometime and hopefully get them on Saturday the 14th
I just mistakenly clicked on the DuraFlap website and found an open offer for EVERYONE to get 10% off (a Labor day weekend special) - just use the code Hard Labor when asked for it.
This is my second set of them and I really like them as well. You do have to ask for the military discount, but they are super happy to apply it! I won't buy flaps from anyone other than them, plus they are a nice small business who really tries to go the extra mile.
I ordered the extra long rear flaps, which are great. I then lowered my rear 2 inches with the 2 inch block and now I think I wish I would have just ordered the standard length. Oh well!

Also, the black what looks like plastic piece on the bottom portion of the rear of bed behind the mud flap, is that aftermarket or is that stock on the 17 & 18's?

Army Ret - did you get yours on? Pictures please
Hey Chuck, where's your pics, Bud?? If you're like me, which I don't think you are, you probably don't have them on yet.,
Dave, they're on, just haven't snapped any pictures yet. They sure are heavy duty. My 29 year old said "they look like what you see on tractor trailers". Umm yeah, that's what I was after. I'm glad I went with the "normal" length. I do like them, hasn't rained here since I put them on so not sure about the added protection. The fronts do stick out almost even with the running board which is what I was looking for. The backs are noticeably longer and do stick out a bit further than stock which will hopefully keep the crap off the bed. I did uncover that there must have been something sized between gravel and sand between the stock mud flap and the front passengers side fender, it's all chipped. The other 3 were fine. I'll try and get some pictures in the next day or 2.
