Locking fuel door

Just bought a 2018 F150 SuperCrew . With all the remote locking doors and tailgate you would think they could have put a remote lock on the fuel door. I realize the ease of refueling with no gas cap but what is going to stop some kid or Ford hater from dumping sand or sugar in your tank. Any Ford or after market solutions? I'd rather keep the original door. Sure would be nice if it locked and unlocked with the remote.

It's pretty hard to do that, I can't push it down with my finger. I guess you'd have to be really determined to pour in sand.

Ford sells a locking plug for it.
Check their accessories site.

Unless you can open the flap AND put a tube down the fill tube, anything dumps out on the ground. That's why ford gives you a special funnel behind the seat to pour gas in if you run out. If you open the flap with a gas nozzle and not push it in and squeeze the trigger, your shoes will get doused.

What is this magical funnel you speak of sir? Where is it supposed to be? Asking because I just picked my truck up and didn't see it. Wondering if it didn't get included. Thanks!

Flip the passenger rear seat back forward. It's on the back wall. Opaque white funnel.. kind of an abstract shape, not a wide mouth, but larger than the ~3/4" diameter funnel tube you stick in the filler.

Looks like this:

They haven't made the Newer Model Locking Fuel Plug yet,I had one for my 2014 and it didn't fit my 2018,If they make one available I will post it on here,I have the same Fear of
Some Rummies pouring something down there,You really have to use the Supplied funnel to get something down there,Like stated it will just go on the ground hopefully on
the unsuspecting Thing that pours it down there.

they haven't had a locking plug since 2015, when they redesigned some on the filler neck.
