I have X Plan but I have to say the discount I got from the dealer in town before rebates was better than X plan - so no X plan for me

Didn't know owning F stock qualifies for x-plan. How do you go about getting it as a share owner?

My experience is most dealers beat xplan nowadays. Isn't xplan is like $300 over invoice? It seems dealers start at $500 under invoice.

$65k gets you under invoice, anything more then $65k and you are under invoice for xplan.

X-plan is invoice MINUS 0.04% plus $245. So if invoice is $65000 then X-plan is $65k x .004= $264 -$245 = $65,981
So for a Superduty it’s very close to invoice.

The big benefits are
Limits Dealer fees to $100 where locally they normally charge anywhere from $599-$899
No dealer packed items like a $600 wax job, $200 for nitrogen in tires etc
if you have a trade you can simply go to several dealers and pick the one that gives you the best trade in price
They are required to give you every incentive. Both dealer and customer incentives.

So negotiate your best deal then tell them you are an X-plan buyer and you want to see the invoice. The invoice will have the X-plan price at the bottom. Ask for Out The Door price for both negotiated and X-plan price and choose the lowest price.

I got $64985. So yea $500 below invoice is a better. I do know it’s better for dealer if you use xplan because they get some money from ford. Fees are around $320 so that’s an extra $220. So xplan is $64985 plus $100 vs $64500 plus 321. It’s close. Also I try not to fool with dealers that do the add on stickers. Generally they are cliche dealers.

You did very well.

I ordered a 2019 F350 Lariat Diesel CCSB last week. I used the $3000 Personal Cash Offer and X-plan. I ordered it exactly the way I wanted it. I wanted a Lariat Ultimate but I didn’t want a Moon Roof, didn’t want Chrome pkg or chrome wheels and wanted 18” wheels.

I wanted LED headlamps, Adaptive Cruise, Adaptive steering, Tow Tech pkg, BLIS, HD Dual alternators, quick cabin heat, 5th Wheel prep, Ultimate pkg, power running boards, FX4 pkg, 3.31 Elock rear end, etc,
the MSRP was $74, 015
X-Plan price was $69,628
minus $500 rebate for 2019 F350
minus $3,000 PCO
total $66,128
plus $100 Dealer fee
plus state sales tax and state tag fee

Here’s the last page of the Worksheet

thats not my deal, was just going off of the math using $65k invoice price from above. I think their math was a little off.

zeroo,

Yes, that is not your deal, it is mine.

The ordered 2019 F350 will be my 56th new car purchase. Not all Fords were purchased with X-plan but the majority were. I have about 15 Ford dealers within 50 miles of Home to negotiate my trade in. They will compete for my business.

Below is history of 3 sold and 1 pending recent X-plan purchases I’ve made I; the last 4 years. These don’t include the 2 Lexus, 2 Nissans and another new 2016 F150 I bought without a trade for $1000 out the door under X-plan since 2014. Lately I’m averaging 1 new car every 6 months.

I also bought and sold 3 houses and 2 new 5th wheel RVs since 2014. Right now I’m in North Carolina negotiating a purchase of another home. My wife said I need therapy.

Did they show you the actual invoice?

The reason I ask is multiple times a dealer has told me that the price he quoted is better than X-plan. Then when I push and insist I see the invoice where X-plan price is listed I find out they lied. Who would have thought a car dealer lies?

That’s why when I’m making a “clean deal” (no trade) I negotiate for best price. Then when I’m finished negotiating I let them know I’m an X-plan buyer and insist seeing the invoice. Many times they will resist or insist they see my PIN number before letting me see the invoice.

The last clean deal I made was for a 2016 F150XLT 3.5L. I bought that one for $1,000 less than X-plan out the door price PLUS a drop in bed liner. That was an end of month, end of quarter deal where the dealership needed to sell a specific number of cars to get a bonus. My deal took them over the quota. So yes you can do better than X-plan if timing is right.

My dealer in Fort Lauderdale had 1200 car/trucks on the lot. They would give me the binder with every invoice for me to flip through to find the best match for what I wanted. I’d pick one out and take it home for the night to show my wife and do an overnight test drive. I miss that dealership.

Well...all the paperwork is done. Truck is signed for. I'd venture to say they just gave me invoice without the hassle of doing anything under X-plan.

All you need now is your truck. Like you ATC guys would say, hold north west of the DEALER intersection and expect further clearance in 5 days? This comes from me, a FLIB

Glad and you were able to swing the PCO.

So in Canada we have employee pricing going on, so A-plan for everyone. From what I saw on the invoice, A is better than X? They also include rebates ($1000 for Costco).
