I have a quick question about the over drive in my bronco its an E4OD tranny. Before when ever i turned off the over drive for what ever reason then turned off the car, when i would go to turn it back on the over drive button would reset itself and the over drive would be back on. This weekend I noticed when I turned off the over drive and turned off the car the next time I started it up the over drive was still off. Is it supposed to reset or stay off? Is this a major problem? thanks in advance
My truck (see sig below) always defaults to OD being on when I turn it off and then back on. If I am towing and stop the truck, I have to push the od off button again to turn it off after restarting. Not sure if this is a majpr problem, but does not seem right to me. Hopefully someone else will chime in with more detailed info.
yes as he wrote; resets unless the LED/Switch (about $10.00 at a dealer as a unit)...is faulty

Our's was on/off (not flashing) intermittently due to a chaffed wiring harness under strg column/dash which caused fuse to blow ..this seems to happen in late model (92+) to F's/Broncos
Sorry NJ,
I had a surgery and was awy for a bit.
I have no clue to the dash mounted sw. If the harness (wire) was shorted, a fuse would blow so it is doubtful that it is running da batty down due to it's low draw (LED)
