Looking awesome - but where's the spare tire? Haha. Don't mind me. Looks like it's ready to take home some more hardware....

I actually have the carrier and a wheel (no tire) both are redone and can be used but it was ordered no spare so did not feel the need to put it on, That and I only drive it about 1200 miles a year. Also have a bed mount spare tire holder also. It can't be judged for 3 years as I won 1st in class last year. I do get to put it in the winners circle this year for last years winners. Next 2 years I can just show without being judged. I'm good with that because the first year I showed I got a third place in class. I did a few changes and got 2nd the next year. Last year about 2 weeks before the show I found the NOS oil bath and put it on and won the show.

The show goer's will be in for a big treat to lay their eyes on this excellent mid sixties Ford pickup of this caliber. Most of them will realize 2 door cars are not the only game in town! I see early '64 model year details in place, passenger side air vent lever, early style tail light trim and no red paint trim in 5 star front hood emblem. Bravo!

I was wondering if anyone would pickup on the taillights. I found these NOS because this is what the truck came with originally. I was told buy some Ford gurus these were never made but I had original proof. Somebody here gave me the original part numbers. And I searched for about 6 months and gave up finding them and bought late 64 65 66 bezels NOS. As soon as I did I was able to come up with 2 right and 2 left early 64 lenses. The right side air vent is actually a dealer installed cigarette lighter. Both father in law and mother in law were smokers back in the day. Many many NOS parts went into this build including the grill that I bought 15 or so years ago prepping for restoration. Had a white one in it because father in law rear ended a car in late 60's and the white grill ws 15 dollars cheaper than the aluminum grill was. A lot of money. Thanks for the good words.

The hills of Montana are crawling with these some good some not so much. Mine is an original Miles City truck and has never been out of the state.

Very NICE!
Is that the original tailgate?
I thought that the '66 and earlier tailgate had a different profile above the handle. (Maybe that is just a Bronco thing??)

and is your paint
Peacock Blue/Pagoda Green
or
Caribbean Turquoise?
