Its not quite pure antifreeze, but much more than necessary. I'll be adding water to it when it warms up so it dilutes it. Dad has reminded me of that too, but there is a couple other trucks that have pure antifreeze by mistake as well. They have been fine so far this winter, but they too will get diluted when its warmer.
My plan of action now is to try and bleed the cooling system like Leroy said; pouring antifreeze into the passenger (I think, I'll find the diagram again and check) hose and seeing what happens. This truck never had a problem bleeding the cooling system before, but the top hose should be harder after it warms up. I'll also see if I can find a pressure tester and then test the system after too.
Thank you guys for the insight so far, there is no reputable shop I would even take my wheel barrow to around here lol. We're going into another cold snap so it'll be awhile before I post, but we're gonna get to the bottom of this hell or high water.
Hey guys its been awhile, hope everyone is well. I have questions instead of an update lol. Since its finally warming up, I can now run some tests and poke around to see whats what. I've had a lot of time to think, and I've changed my plan of action a bit. First, I have to get the air bubble out thats preventing us from circulating coolant and building system pressure. I'll pour coolant in through the heater hose like Leroy suggested above; just pour it into the pull side and then start the truck? That would be the passenger side hose closest to the fender running to the water pump correct?
I was going to pressure test the rad (and I still might), but I think it would make more sense to get the adaptor from Amazon that threads into the glow plug hole and pressurise one cylinder at a time. With the rad cap off, I think I should see bubbles if the HG is leaking.
