Quite the opposite, CCs are what sells therefore that's what dealers order. SC are far in the minority of what is desired.
Agreed.
I "settled" on a CC on my last truck when really wanting an RC, and boy was I happy I did.
Our other truck is a SC and it is pretty much useless for people or things in the back.
Still wish mine had a LB, but sometimes you gotta go with the flow.
Otherwise order and be on pins/needles for 6 months constantly checking the build sites. Am too old for that, and sometimes what you find is all you really need.
I was looking for a super cab also so I could fit it in my garage, but deal breaker for me was the inability to open the back door without opening the front door. I really dislike the French door design. That makes it a pain to have rear seat passengers. I ended up getting the crew cab and not closing the garage door!
A CCLB is a big beast, I have a CCLB Platinum, mostly due to needing the extra room for camping gear AND my wifes Mobility scooter. But parking can be a PIA and the DW will drive it but we have to change seats when we reach a parking lot. Also she refuses to tow the trailer.

If your trucks a 4X4 you also have to be very careful when it comes to parking garages. Some of them will take your roof off.
After many years of Super Cabs in both F150 and 250 versions I went with a crew in 2016. I don't carry passengers all that much, but when I do it's nice for them to have the extra room and to be able to let themselves out. Opening the front door to allow rear door opening sucks. And I can throw more gear in and have easier access to it on my annual vacation.
Apparently that's what sells these days, so that's what Ford is cranking out. Simple as that.
Been lurking on various dealer's websites checking out their inventories..
There is a new 2017 White Gold extended cab long bed at Fremont motors in Cody Wyoming. Been there for a while now. Matter of fact I was noticing the SD inventory was getting low in the area. https://www.fremontfordcody.com/new/...141165e4a7.htm
I remember when a pickup truck with four doors looked out of place.
I had a 2006 F150 regular cab short bed. The regular cab that year had a small door on each side that opened for access to behind the seat storage. Too small for passengers, but I had the 60/40 seat with fold down "console". Thought that would be all the truck I needed with kids all grown but found the space behind the seat really wasn't good for much more that preventing my punkin head from hitting the rear window in a collision. Traded for a 2012 F250 CCSB with fold down front seat and 6.2L. Great all around truck with a very comfortable interior. Often felt shorted in the cargo area though. Now have a CC with console and long bed 6.7L. Don't know if this is my last ever truck or not, but if it is, I'm fine with that. Certainly wouldn't be able to make myself downsize.

Yes its 4x4 I wont even attempt a parking garage, unless its taller than 7 ft and then only on that floor. Cant use the truck to go to the doctors, it has a 6 ft clearance, I used to be able to get my f150 in there barely.
I bought a crew-cab because my F150 had the super-cab and those "suicide" rear doors proved to be a royal PITA ... especially in parking lots. Getting anything or anyone in/out of the rear was a chore when parked beside anyone/anything ... required a choreographed process of "you move here while I move this then you move that so I can move the other." I found the super-cab experience to be similar to the fiberglass bed cover experience ... never again. I hope you like yours!
Yeah. I can't stand those damned Porsches, Audis, and Mercedes. I can't wait until my Yugo gets here. Said no one, ever. Maybe the reason there are so many CCSB's is they fit the bill for people with families that want a vehicle capable of towing their boat, camper, car trailer, or whatever else they want to put in or behind it and ride in comfort. To each his own, but I wouldn't even consider a RC or SC truck, except for a dually flat bed for my business.
