Hey all I’m trying to remove the auto hubs to replace the wheel bearings and spindle bearing. The truck has the 3 screw auto hubs. I have the hub assembly out along with the 3 thrust washers and C-clip.
now according to everything I’ve read the cam assembly that sits behind the 3 washers and clip should just pull out. However I’ve been fiddling with this thing for over an hour and I can’t seem to get it removed. I’ve tried picks, I’ve tried needle nose pliers. I’ve tried rotating the assembly clockwise as well as counter to see if it would come out but have had no luck.
so I’m asking is there some step I’m missing? I know there’s another c clip right after this assembly that acts as a key for the wheel bearing nut. Is that also somehow incorporated into the cam assembly?
