Help!! I'm trying to remove my Warn manual locking hubs so I can replace them with the Warn Premium Hubs.
I can't get the old ones out. I'm removed the small and large clips, but the thing wont budge. I've soaked it in PB blaster, hit them with a rubber mallet,etc.. Still no good.
Am I missing something?
I have not been in a warn hub in a while but try there site, they probably have some exploded part pics. I thought they had a c clip and a round ring clip then you put the hub screws back into the holes and wiggle the guts out then there is a nut behind that but don't quote me

Have you removed the inner nut the one just before your outer bearing?
There is a special socket that fits, to pull your hub off

He just wants the hub lock off, not the entire wheel hub.
All I can suggest is to screw two of the cap screws into the hub body, then have someone tap on the hub bore while you pull it out with pliers on the screws. Remember to try and rock it loose a little while pulling.

I tried the cap screw thing, but it just wont move. Not sure what else to do.
About 10 years ago, I made a tool for getting those things out. I cut a piece of 1/8" steel in the circle shape of the outer cap and drilled it for 3 of the 6 screws. Welded a stud in the center of it that my small slide hammer would thread onto. I've had a few of those things that were a real bugger to get out if they have been sitting for a long time unused.

That sounds like a good idea. Too bad they don't make a tool already to do this.
