can ne one recommend an amp for me? i'm running an audiobahn aw1200q sub, also i'm adding another one after i get my amp. I"m looking to run both subs about 400 watts continuous atleast, although they handle 700. I dont want to buy a cap so please nothing too powerful.
JBL BP series. whatever u do, do not use a cap no matter what. they are more hassle the good. u should run the subs at or around the recomended RMS range to get optimium sound and performance from the driver.
Try JL Audio
The 500/1 will outperform most 1000w amps because it remains 580w from 10.5 volts to 14.4 volts. IE: the Rockford BD 1000 is 980 @ 14.4v, 620w @ 12v, 460w @ 10.5 (Real world if you are hammerrong). As far as Caps go, I have to disagree with Optikal- They work great if used correctly. They are only there to help during huge transient voltage drops ie: when you are hammering. They keep your voltage up by dumping their voltage (in a few miliseconds) to keep your Amps from droping to a low voltage sitiuation, causing distortion...... on and on and on
