For those of you who havent seen my other threads about this money pit here is some info. It is an 89 F150 300 w/ 4spd manual transmission. Ive been working on this truck for the last 7 months and its been nothing but trouble. I have fixed everything i could think would be the problem and now im asking yall. It has been running great when i start, idle is fine runs smooth as can be until it reaches operating themp on the guage... i thought it was overheating due to it running too lean so i put in a new coolant temp sensor and that seemed to fix it for about 25minutes. I was driving it and then it turned into an absolute dog all over again, today i went roadkill and pulled the hood off and went for a drive and it did the same thing except this time the engine died and wouldnt start again. I let it cool and figured it was still overheating so i put on a V6 only fan shroud i had laying around and forced it to fit my needs and then it ran great for about 25 minutes again and then died in the exact same spot as before and wouldnt start again. Its got plenty of airflow, plenty of ventilation, plenty of fuel, and the timing is good enough to drive it around and have an idle speed of 750 to 1k rpm depending on the temp outside or how long its been since i started it. Im at my wits end with this thing, its starting to look more and more tempting to open the gas tank and shoot a flaming arrow into it and watch it burn.
