That doesn't sound like a big job unless you have to drill all the way through the center of a 4' post

Only 36", I can't reach the nuts to remove it.

I have a couple long drill bits for electrical work that i bought at home depot

I have a 1/2" X 48" bit but needs to be sharpened.

Yeah they come in handy.. I have used it many times
