T-45 vs T-5

Which is a better transmission? I'm building a street rod, no power house or drag truck, just something to cruise with and put the littler tuners in their place around me. I want to put in behind a mild 302. Something around 300-330 hp. Any suggestions?

T45 is a stronger transmission but it was only available behind mod motors and has an integral bell. Modern Driveline has a write up on it:
