I’m sure this is been covered several times, but have not seen one recent, I installed a console today in my 72 Highboy with my bucket seats, it came out of a 97 to 2003 F150. I bought it off eBay and it looks and works like brand new, it fits in between the seats and looks great with no modifications. My seats are black and the console is gray but I most likely will take it out and have it dyed to match the seats. I included a few pictures they say way more than what I could tell you in words.
This is not the one I bought but it looks just like it before it was put in.
tpdaniels you don,t need to send your console out to be dyed. you can do it your self. i have used Du-pli color spray dye. it comes in a rattle can. it will not wear off or scratch off. i used Tuff Stuff to clean what you want to spray.i got mine from Oreillys. it comes in several colors.

Thanks for the info I may do that over the weekend
m doing the very same thing and looking for a console. like the way yours looks. do you think there would be room to open the lid with the gas tank in the cab?
I see your tank not in the cab......thanks

It most likely will, it will slide forward several inches if needed, if you look at the pictures it shows it does not go back to where the gas tank mounts.
sounds good.
I like that console because its seems to be taller than other ford consoles and flat on the bottom. not so far down to retrieve your drink also.
thanks for the pics
got one on the way. I will also have to dye it.
glad I saw this thread, about to get a different one......
Glad I started this thread, I had not seen pictures of this console in a bump, bought it hopefull that it could at the very least be modified to work, very pleased when it fit perfect with no modifications. I have not secured it to the floor yet, it has about four inches of movement front to rear and need to drive it to make sure it where I want it.
