I asked her about the 14th, and it seems like I remember her saying it was OK. Now it may just be me, because I remember her saying something about she (or someone) had something going on in the morning... I can't fully remember. She often says I never listen, or I never remember.. or something like that..
How about late afternoon- then maybe sit around a camp fire and have smores? Everyone bring sides/and their own drinks? And whatever ever else? Might get wifey to make cheesecake?
I have a little grill, is everyone good with burgers\brats\hot dogs? If you guys want to bring sides then that would work out perfect. Cheesecake as always a welcomed side Chad
We actually did homemade ice cream out there on Saturday night for the first time this season and it turned out amazing so we'll for sure be doing that again this weekend.
Late afternoon sounds good, if the kids want to swim in the lake then feel free to show up earlier if you'd like. Also, if you guys want to squeeze in some fishing for the kids then we can go right west of the dam and fish the spillway, it's about a 5 minute drive and I'll have bait and extra poles. We fished for an hour and a half there Saturday night and I couldn't even get my line in the water because the boys were pulling in small catfish left and right!
The only time restriction we have will be the 10:00PM checkout for guests, they lock the gate and you'll be stuck with my family for the night
Just let me know the official count when we're a few days out so I can get the appropriate amount of food, and dress light because it's going to be a HOT one that day
I know it will be the wife, my youngest, and myself for sure, I don't know about the older two yet. Maddie may have to work, and Belle doesn't get out of the house often.
Calista was excited but now Carolyn isn't- So Calista isn't UGH!! So It may just be me-- or me and Calista- or all 3 of us-- CLint has to work in the am so afternoon MY work for him-- depends on work - if its a pain- he won't come- but if it is OK he will be there-- Haven't heard if Jack is coming or not.
If you're coming off of HW56 then you turn north on Old Mill Road which goes over the dam and turns into Pawnee Road. Then take a left at 220th street ,you'll see the Last Chance baitshop on the corner and our camper storage caddy-cornered from that.
You can stop in at the entry gate and tell them you're visiting site 84. From there you turn at the first right, go until you hit a stop sign. Take a left and then take the first available right, from that road you'll drive right by our campsite, they're numbered so you can't miss it.
OR if you really don't want to miss it, campsite coordinates are 38.391718, -97.095101
