352tranny

I have a 1965 352, with what I think is a cruise o matic tranny can any one give me info on these and if I can't up the performance how hard is it to swap in a c-6, will it bolt up?

The COM tranny is a durable tranny. It's not as poular to work on or build up as the C6. If you want a C6, just find one that was or is attached to any FE series motor (332, 352, 360, 390, 406, 410, 427 or 428, the FT 361, 391 also have the same pattern). You cannot easily adapt a C6 from one of the other series motors, the bell-housing is attached.

So what I would like is to run around 2500 stall converter would it just be easier to find a c-6 that was behind an FE, do they make parts for my tranny?

There is very few performance parts for the cruise-o/fmx. 1 mild shift kit and I think TCI made ONE stall covertor for it. Might want to consider a C6. They were used in 68-up trucks. A 68-72 truck trans should bolt in to your application.

Jeg's has a good deal in my opinion. new (reman) C6 FE trannies built for 450 HP for around $750. Honestly, I paid more than that to rebuild my C6.
