Fuel Pump Wiring Issues
Just bought an '86 F150 with the 302 efi in it. Previous owner said the fuel pump quit getting power all of a sudden and he thought it might be the ICM. I figured it wouldn't be too hard to diagnose, so went ahead and took it. When I got it home and started working on it, I noticed he had apparently cut the hot wire coming from the fuel pump at some point and stuffed it up under the coolant reservoir. According to the wiring diagram I have, It should run right to the inertia switch, however the switch has two yellow wires coming from it, both wired into the fuel pump relay. Am I missing something? I think I might just get a cheap switch and rewire the whole circuit. If that's the case, I need to know where the eec relay is but cant find it for the life of me. Any suggestions? I'll post pictures tomorrow when it's not storming outside
Thanks in advance!
