Intermitant Cam sensor signal
I wonder if any one has ever had or heard of such problems with the cam sensors in a 7.3 power stroke. I have recently registered 99 f-350 super duty that I bought. the truck has real low miles on it, around 70 kgot the although I don't know quit how accurate the speedometer was because the speed sensor was bad. The truck sat for a long time maybe two or three years. when I got it I got it going and found out that the O-rings in the injectors were bad as it was going through motor oil like mad. So I got the injectors fixed and she's running pretty good but it hick-ups quit a bit. on rainy days if your at a stop light idling some times it'll stall two or three times. It seems like it doesn't stall as much if you get the rpms up closer to 1000. I put a new cam sensor from Napa in it and took it back to the mechanic and it came up with a cam sensor error. It's acting like the sensor is losing it's power intermitently at times. has anyone ever had or heard of such a problem?
