Drive Line reinstalling problem.
Hi I have a 96 f250 4x4 and i took off the drive shaft and putting it back on has been a pain. I have the splines hooked up but the shaft and boot won’t slide forward any suggestions?

If you can without destroying the one clamp, remove it to allow you to move the boot enabling possible eyes on visibility alignment. Next, if you haven't yet, try using a light application of chassis grease on both the receiving and input ends. Then you might have to use a rubber mallet and tap on the rear of the drive shaft. If you resort to using a sledge hammer, use a piece of wood (3/4" plywood or a 2" x 6") between the hammer head and drive shaft to avoid any chance of destroying the drive shaft, but don't over do the amount of striking force, be gentle.
