2013 transit connect convert to Manuel transmission
we just recently took a 2008 for focus Manuel transmission and dropped it into our 2013 transit connect. The swap went well and everting fit perfectly. We took it for a test drive and after 10 mph it went into limp mode. Is there a way to reprogram the ecm to recognize that it has a Manuel transmission now? No ford dealership will even answer questions on the phone.
We took out the ignition on the focus and put it into the connect and it went straight into anti theft mode. We can not seem to pass the anti theft on the TC.
Please give suggestions.

Unlikely that the TC forum will provide answers. There is a "computer chips and tuners" forum here so maybe some of the companies that do engine tuning via ECM will be able to help if they can get thru the codes. I would post your question there. Good luck, George

I've not heard of anyone attempting what you are doing. If and when you get the issues resolved would you report back? It seems like a Connect with a standard trans would be a nice vehicle. It's neat for you to give it a try.
