Question Wire Coloring

I have just dropped my gas tank and replaced the fuel pump. The new style of pump has an easier connector that mates up to the truck.

With this new style of pump, also received a wiring harness to solder to the wires coming from the vehicle.

THE WIRE COLORS DO NOT MATCH!

Instructions say to match the following:
Jumper
(1) PK/BK
(2) Y/W
(3) BK
(4) GR/R

Vehicle
(1) PK/BK or BR/W or R
(2) Y/W or Y/LB or DB/Y
(3) BK or GY/B
(4) BK

My vehicle has:
Y/W
BK
OR
BR/R

The instructions say to "Refer to EVTM if above listed colors very from vehicle harness".

What is EVTM or how do I match up the wires?

EVTM is short-hand for Ford's "Electrical & Vacuum Trouble-Shooting Manual." If you tell us the year of your Bronco someone may have one and can help you with the colors.

I have an EVTM for a '95 Bronco that lists the following wires:

Y/W goes to the dash fuel gauge.

PK/BK goes to the inertia fuel shutoff switch, which is in turn connected to the fuel pump relay in the engine compartment.

O is the fuel pump ground that ties into BK, which is the fuel gauge ground.

Hope that helps.
