bedside sprung?
anybody have this problem? i have a 79 bronco and the driver side bed is sprung to the point it will not latch. anyone know of a way to fix it without involving a high dollar bodyshop? now comes to the second question does the tail gate have to be closed to operate the window? i know i have on and off power from the dash board switch, how do you test the window motors? hook up a jumper wire to the battery? thanks to all that can help.

on my 96 when the gate is closed the gate latches complete the electrical circuit that feeds the tailgate window motor. I can close the latch with my hand when the gate is open and operate the window but be sure to hold onto the glass as it comes out and support it or you will be seeing about 10 square feet of tempered bronco ice on the ground behind your ride .
