okay so not sure if it's cool to have two non related questions on one thread but here goes.
Anyone ever put 16x8 wheels with either -6 or -20 offset? I'm in the market for wheels and tires and want to know which will look better. I know they are going to stick out since 4.5 back spacing is what I hear looks stock as where these are -6 will be 4.25 and -20 will be 3.71in back spacing. Any idea how much these will stick out? Anyone have pictures of this? (Side note I'm going with 35x12.5 or metric equivalent, I am NOT trying to stance my truck or have my wheels stick out an outrageous amount but only have X codes and no real lift up front so I want to push the tires away from the leaf springs a bit.)
Second question. I have a weird work schedule and desperately need to replace my ball joints and wheel hub assemblies but only have time to do the job one day and get an alignment later. Is it safe or recommended to drive after doing this job and not getting an alight right away?
Aftermarket wheel geometry is mostly a mystery to me, but maybe these calculator tools from Custom Offset Wheels (a new site sponsor) will help you determine what will work best to meet your needs and wants. https://www.customwheeloffset.com/ti...et-calculators
you can drive the vehicle afterworda. mark the alignment nut and location. i drove alittle over a month before i got new tires and alignment when my tax return came in. i had no adverse problems what so ever
