Hey, I'm new to this site. I just picked up a 2007 F250 6.0 4x4. The truck was a salvage and "repaired" due to water damage and I found this little thing under the dash. All but two wires were cut. Can anyone tell me what this is and what it connects to? I also have a TBC Fault reading on the odometer display. Does this have anything to do with it? There is no trailer brake controller in the truck
If power and ground are the only remaining connections, pull the unit and toss it.
I don't know that particular unit in detail, but some of the GPS "trackers" also had an alarm component. Some of them have remote-disable capability (Missed a payment? No car for you!). The other already disconnected wires may be related to those functions.
