I am wondering if someone can tell me how many amps the reverse lights lead and the +12V lead are rated at in the factory trailer plug on my 93 screw.
Thanks
There isn't a B/U light wire in the harness for a trailer.
The main power wire to the trailer plug will be rated by the size of the wire.
I would suspect the wire is 8 Gauge run over 20 ft to the plug & the fuse to protect the circuit would be 15-20 amp .
Thanks for the reply ,but on my plug there is a pin labeled b/u lights.(i was also surprised to see it,but pleasantly surprised as it looks like an easy way to add aux.b/u lights).I guess my real question is does anyone know if this is run from the same wire as goes to the lights on the truck or maybe a switched lead from a relay?Wondering what load i can run on this lead without affecting the lights on the truck.
