Had to go back and find one of my old Hi-Per Parts books to find the actual specs for the CJ cam.
Looks like Lunati's cam has the same lift as a CJ cam( .481 I - .490 E) but has a good bit more duration (304 I - 324 E) verses ( 270 I - 280 E) this is also more duration than the factory C8AX cam (282 I - 296 E)
That would explain it's higher rpm potential.
C6OZ-6250-B is a CJ cam, specs are
Intake at 0 lift
O= 18btc
C= 72abc
Exhaust at 0 lift
O= 82bbc
C= 28atc
Overlap
46
Duration
270 I
280 E
Lift
.481 I
.490 E
The factory C8AX-6250-C specs are
Intake at 0 lift
O= 24
C= 78
Exhaust at 0 lift
O= 82
C= 34

.500 to .515 depending on which chart I look at
With that info can you run the factory CJ cam or both
Sorry about the long time away. I had a BBQ Competition on Saturday and they are A LOT of work. I am really liking the look of the 62002 numbers. Right in the trucks wheelhouse. I am planning on going with a roller setup, Eddy heads and intake, and Sniper EFI. It looks like the Lunati 20330710 is the roller version of the 62002. Would you be able to run that cam on the dyno please? And possibly the 20330711?
Looks like the original C8AX-C is a better cam than Lunati's version.
I'm interested in seeing how mild the stock C6OZ-B CJ cam is
The 428 CJ I had in a 73 F-100 pulled hard off the line and seemed to make good power up to 4000+
Had a stock sounding idle so wouldn't be ones choice if them wanted a little thump and bump sound.
Ya I planned on getting the kit with lifters but what about rockers. Would I have to run a roller rocker kit such as Harland Sharp or can I run stock rockers?
For a cam with the amount of lift the 20330711 has you'll need a good rocker system with end stand supports to help prevent the rocker shafts from breaking on the ends.
