So I have had several different vehicles after getting rid of my 2003 Excursion. The latest, however, is a 2017 Mustang GT. And because of the fact that I live in the great white north, I need something to drive in the winter.
Enter the new ride. 2005 Excursion XLT 4WD with the V10. Just a touch under 150,000 miles. It has some rust, but nothing too catastrophic. The previous owner just put new brakes on all the way around. Not just pads, but rotors, calipers, master cylinder, and brake lines as well. It has some nice E-rated Michelin tires too.
I had purchased V/B springs for my old Excursion, and never got around to installing them. I never got rid of them either, so I still had them in storage when I bought this truck. Just put them on, and gained about 2 inches all the way around. It's nice to actually have some clearance between the front axle and the frame. It sits nice and level too.
The next mission is a new front sway bar and links, hopefully getting rid of the irritating clunk when going over bumps. New shocks are also on the list, since the current ones are almost completely shot.
I picked it up in Ann Arbor. Having tow trucks makes it easy and convenient to buy vehicles.
Yes, very nice, of course I am very biased towards '05 V-10 XLT EXs. I see those tow mirrors, does it have the optional 4.30 gears (code C3 on the door jamb sticker under "Axle") ?
