Random stalling, surging with Icp unplugged
I have a 2006 f250 6.0, I was pulling the truck around back to do an oil change and fuel filter change when it stalled, no sputtering just off everything cut off. Figured Icp sensor was bad unplugged and fought with it for a bit and t started. Thought no big deal bought Icp sensor put that in and nothing.. wouldn’t start, unplugged it started double checked wiring it’s good. No big deal order another one, I decide to drive to work with it unplugged since it ran. Well it stalled and wouldn’t start, kept cranking like it wanted to. Did some research changed out stc fitting, and IPR. Put it back together, now it stalls under load or slowing down. No sputtering just off like power is cut. Icp is still unplugged waiting for it to get here.
Ficm is in spec while cranking and running along with IPR. It starts after around 3 seconds of cranking (when oil pressure on dash raises) This is all with Icp unplugged. It won’t stall if I let it idle for 15 min. But if I drive it without letting idle for awhile it will 100% die at some point. I have checked for chafing and ficm connectors.
Throwing a code for number 4 contribution/ balance and Icp. And open circuit for 2wd solenoid and 4wd faulty circuit.
I thought for sure it would be FICM maybe the PCM but would an injector really cause this stalling randomly. I also have lack of power. Icp sensor will be here this week
Sorry I usually figure things out myself and hate asking for help but I can’t narrow this down. My concern is it’s doing all this with Icp unplugged.
I’m going to feel stupid if it’s something simple but it is what it is. Thanks for your time guys
