I gained 5 lbs in 10 days, just by skipping Keto and going back to a regular diet during vacation! What do I win???? Oh yeah, I just have to work harder now to undo my week of laziness, what a prize :
It does great if you stick too it but the instant you quit- you gain your weight beck.. I rode the excer bike this morning-- legs are wobbly-- I pigged out at Cracker barrel with clint and Garret-- YUMMY- I am eating normal for a few days until Friday then anoother 6 weeks of salads and eating right-- goal is to lose 5 lbs and keep it off for good.
I agree completely, Keto is really a lifestyle change and not a "diet". It would make perfect sense that if cutting carbs and sugar out of your diet would make you lose weight, gobbling it up the second you quit will make it come right back. When we were on vacation I had plenty of carbs and sugars, simply because I didn't want to be restricted on where and what we could eat for meals. I did salads when possible, but there were was also huckleberry licorice (so worth it!), S'mores, and hamburgers\hotdogs WITH buns. We agreed that we really wanted to relax as much as possible on the trip and Keto would have made that a pain.
But now we're right back to it now without any issue. We both agreed on one "cheat" meal a week to keep our sanity, but I'm still alright with cutting out sugar 100% from my diet. I'm about 30 lbs down right now, wanted to make it to 50 lbs, and a stretch goal of 100 lbs. I'm sure that will take me at least a year but should be worth it. Now back to my breakfast, bacon!
