Have a 2018 F250 with auto side step from AMP. When the driver side step comes down or goes back up it makes a clicking sound. The passenger side doesn't make a sound. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks, Jason
Interesting.... was no brake cable re-location bracket on my 17, and don't recall it being an issue when I installed it.
Will have to get under the truck and check it out. Not clicking but need to check all the fasteners anyway.

After months of trying to get it resolved on my own and with a tech, I finally got someone from Amp-Research that knows what to do.
Here is the entire response in an email.
I used a mallet to smack the gold bolt at the back of the linkage after loosening and you can actually feel it wiggle a bit.
See below:
Thank you for reaching out to AMP Research Technical Support team. This sounds like a bolt and wedge adjustment needs to be performed. Please follow the steps below.
Bolt and Wedge Adjustment It sounds like the bolt and wedge on the linkage needs to be adjusted. To adjust the bolt and wedge you will need to remove the motor on that drive side and allow the board to deploy down. While the board is deployed loosen the one gold bolt that is located on the back side of that front linkage arm to being finger tight. After which please have someone apply light pressure onto the board and smack the bolt once, then tighten that same bolt all while someone is applying light pressure on the board.
