Spark Plugs: Best '89 5.0 302 choice
Hi FTE world
I'm looking for peoples input here. I am changing out my spark plugs on the E150 (1989 with 5.0 302 engine) and when i went to the autoparts store they suggested NGK iridium LX spark plugs #7559.
Is this a good choice? What do you use? Which is the Best? Worst? and what is the proper heat range for this van?

I had a '96 E150 5.0 for many years. I used several brands of plugs but always went back to Motorcraft platinum.
NGK makes great plugs. I use them in both of my Toyotas. Can't imagine they wouldn't be fine in the 5.0.
As a side note: The Motorcraft Platinum plugs would typically outlast the distributor cap and wires.

I use the motorcraft copper. The left side is easy to access with the doghouse off.the right side rear 2 are easy to reach. I got the front two in the right side from the right wheel well using a long extension. May have also used a swivel socket.. I also did a compression check at the same time and those 2 on the front right were fairly easy to access from the wheel well. I don't remember if I jacked it up and took the wheel off or not..

At least on my van, I could reach in over the tire with the extension. Didn't have to jack the van.
