So let me start by saying I live in Texas, so we get plenty of sun!! I am having trouble finding sunshades for my 75 F100. Seems as though modern windshields are obviously much longer, I am measuring my window to only have a height of about 18".
has anyone found a sunshade that is short enough...... but long enough to cover our windshields?
Yea....... that was what i was thinking of , but I thought if someone knew of a model that would fit, it would save me the trouble of going to my sister to sew something up.I figure if I cut through one of those Bubble wrap looking sun shades, I would have to then at least sew something at the end to prevent fraying.
Get a larger/longer one width wise and just do not unfold the ends....that works for me. I have a rather tall one that also gets put between the visor and cab roof, and then flip the visors down to hold it.
What about this? Card board with space blanket glued to it. When I was a poor buck sergeant and couldn't afford store bought accessories, Uncle Sam issued us a bunch of extra space blankets. I made a shade for my CJ7. I used some kinda lightweight composite wood panel that was laying around, and cut it to fit and fold the way I wanted. I used 3M spray adhesive to bond the space blanket to the panel. It covered windshield completely and folded up nice and compact.
